Welcome … back?

Piles of books, in process knitting projects near an open book and ereader

I have been blogging in one form or another for a long time now.

I started out with a book blog. I found that I had a lot to say about what I read and had fun writing in-depth and sometimes snarky (looking at you Dan Brown and Janet Evanovich) reviews.

Then I started knitting and really wanted to blog about knitting. So, I revamped my blog. I had a couple really popular posts (even if the most popular one was written by my husband). Then the pandemic hit and my knitting was just to get me through the day and I stopped blogging.

Recently, I decided that I wanted to start blogging again, but this time decided that I wasn’t going to pick one hobby or the other and like that long ago taco shell commercial, I decided

When I came back to my site, something was wrong with the backend of the site. Between me and my husband (my in-house IT guy), we could not get the site back in any form I could continue to use. Now, circumstances have me restarting my blog from nothing.

Here we are, a fresh design and no content. It’s kind of refreshing, actually. I realized that I was, as the title may suggest, kind of fidgety with my content. I felt like I had to write a lot and have fancy, watermarked images. It was a lot of work and I now realize I stopped having fun.

With this restart, I have decided to not be quite so precious. Not all of my reviews—book or knitting—will be lengthy. Instead, I want this to be fun. I want to share what I love and what I didn’t and hopefully encouraging you to sit down, pick up your needles and throw a few stitches while flipping a few pages (or listening, we don’t judge how you read here).

So, welcome back if you followed me in the past and welcome if you’re new here. I can’t wait to see where we go from here.
